The Oakland Raiders are off to their best start since 2001 and haven’t lost a road game this season. The Oakland Raiders are favored in this game and will travel south of the border to face the Houston Texans in Mexico City. The Houston Texans will go for a third straight win in this Week 11 game. The game between the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Texans is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 21, 2016, at 8:30 p.m. ET at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

The Houston Texans could use this win to improve their standing in the AFC South. The Houston Texans leads their division which is probably the weakest in the NFL. The Texans needs their quarterback Brock Osweiler to grow into his role as the starter and a win over a quality opponent like the Raiders.  The Texans have a problem this season of keeping up on score against the better teams. In their three losses, all against quality opponents, the Texans have been outscored 85-22. The Houston Texans defense is ranked 26 in the NFL against the run, surrendering 120.7 yards per game. They also rank 27 with just eight turnovers forced in nine games. The Texans are showing signs of improvement in both areas. Without defensive player of the year J.J. Watt, the Texans haven’t had as much success getting to the opposing quarterback. The Texans have a total of 10 sacks over the past seven games. For Houston to have success slowing down the Raiders offense, getting after Carr is priority. Look for defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus to try and bring the pressure to disrupt Carr.

The Oakland Raiders have won six of its last seven games and is coming off its biggest victory of the season. Running back Latavius Murray scored three rushing touchdowns and the Raiders stunned Denver’s defense to win 30-20. Murray had a season high 114 yards out of the team’s 218 total. The Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for 184 yards. The previous week Garr set a new team record of passing for 513 yards. This showed that the Raiders offense is capable of adapting to opponents. Through nine games Carr has completed 66.1 percent of his passes for 2,505 yards and 17 touchdowns. More importantly,  Carr has thrown only three interceptions in his 354 attempts. The Raiders defense is doing a good job with keeping Carr outof trouble. The Raiders have allowed 11 sacks, the fewest in the league, and Carr has rarely been pressured. When given time Carr has proven to be deadly. We believe Houston will keep the game close with a defensive effort, but they don’t have enough firepower to overcome the Raiders.

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts, Week 15

Houston_Texans_indianapolis_coltsTexans vs Colts, Clash of the 6-7 co-division leaders

The battle of the backup quarterbacks will likely decide the AFC South when Houston visits Indianapolis. The Houston Texans has never won in Indianapolis since entering the league in 2002 and are 0-13 all-time on the Colts home field. If the Colts come away with another win at home they would have the inside track to win the division. The game between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2015, at 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS.

The Indianapolis Colts will be without Andrew Luck, who has missed a total of six games and the last four after suffering a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle. The second quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is dealing with a rib injury, so Charlie Whitehurst has gotten some looks in practice. Coach Chuck Pagano hopes Hasselbeck, who won his first four starts in place of Luck, can practice this week and be ready to go Sunday. If Hasselbeck can’t play, the Colts would likely start Charlie Whitehurst with Alex Tanney serving as his backup.

The Houston Texans are in a similar situation with their backup quarterback Yates ready to take snaps in the most important game of the season. Yates is in a similar situation as Whitehurst. He was third-string when the Texans where toying with Ryan Mallet and Hoyer at quarterback. The Texans have a better defense and J.J. Watt and Co. will get after Whitehurst if Houston finally gets a win in Indianapolis. Houston Texans DeAndre Hopkins has emerged as one of the elite receivers in the NFL. Hopkins, who had a career-high 11 catches and season-best 169 yards in the first meeting with the Colts, is expecting to see plenty of double teams from a defense that ranks 29th overall, against the pass and in yards per completion (12.59). If the Texans can’t get the use of Hopkins, their most dynamic weapon, the entire offense suffers.

New England Patriots at Houston Texans, Week 14

Tom Brady vs Texans

Patriots Vs. Texans: New England Road Favorites, But Barely

The Houston Texans remain a game back of the pack in the AFC Wild Card race, trailing a trio of clubs with 7-5 records. The Texans will need to end their current three-game  losing streak against New England to remain in the thick of the playoff hunt. The New England Patriots will try to end a two-game losing streak that spoiled their bid for a perfect season when they battle the Houston Texans as a slim 3-point road favorite. The game between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans is scheduled for Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 8:30 p.m. ET at NRG Stadium. The matchup will be broadcast on NBC.

The struggling New England Patriots offense has seemingly fallen apart under the weight of a ton of injuries. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady can do a lot of great things but he is without the major talented players that make their offense so great. They don’t have Rob Gronkowski and probably won’t again this week. They don’t have Julian Edelman and won’t for the rest of the season. Brandon LaFell didn’t have a training camp this year and won’t get those reps back. Danny Amendola is still visibly aching, if not fighting through a legitimate injury. The wide receivers will have to deal with J.J. Watt, the biggest freak of nature on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL. Watt has put up numbers which are every bit as good as last year. It looks like if New England is going to win this game, it’s going to have to do so on the defensive side of the ball.

The Houston Texans have come on strong buoyed by a four-game winning streak which ended last week in Buffalo. The 30 points surrendered to Buffalo marks the most that Houston has allowed in five games, as the Texans defense held opponents to just six points in three of their four recent wins, and a mere 8.75 points per game during that stretch. Houston has also played well at home, going 4-1 S in its last five, winning by double-digit margins in each of those victories. The Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is putting up major numbers, making circus catches each week, and has done so with a quarterback trio of Ryan Mallet, T.J. Yates, and Brian Hoyer throwing him the passes. Hopkins is third in the league in receiving yards, third in receiving touchdowns, and fourth in receptions.
