Dolphins hammer Houston, now face undefeated Patriots
The surging Dolphins under interim coach Dan Campbell will get their first real test when they visit undefeated New England in an AFC East confrontation on Thursday Night Football. The re-charged Dolphins are now 3-3 and have won back-to-back games. They’ll next face the undefeated Patriots team that has ruled the AFC East for about a dozen years. The game between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 8:25 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium. The matchup will be broadcasted on CBS and the NFL Network.
The New England Patriots came from behind to beat the Jets on Sunday for their 47th victory in their last 51 home games. The Patriots ignored the ground game Sunday, as Tom Brady was the team’s leading rusher with 15 yards.. Brady threw for 355 yards, his 68th 300-yard game, and has thrown at least two touchdown passes in all six games this season. He engineered two fourth quarter scoring drives to pull out the win over New York last Sunday with tight end Rob Gronkowski catching 11 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.
The Miami Dolphins have had quite the turnaround under Campbell with a pair of dominant performances against Tennessee and Houston. The Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has transformed since the coaching change and so has the Dolphins defense. The Dolphins will get a true test this Thursday night to see just how much of an impact Campbell has made. The Dolphins will need to keep up the strong play against the unbeaten Patriots. Tom Brady looks unstoppable and the Patriots are awful tough at home. The Dolphins will need to keep the game close and try not to have any turnovers in order to have a chance for a win.
